Learning Support Assistant - Aspiring Clinical or Educational Psychologist - Tadworth
The School:
The school is based near Tadworth, Surrey and provides support for primary and secondary aged pupils who have a wide range of needs associated with Autism. They are looking for a learning support assistant to join their team. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to.
The needs of the students also include mental health, trauma, PDA and associated speech and language challenges. The aim of the school is to provide a safe haven and therapeutic approach that the students will not have access to in a mainstream setting. They are a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, so their practice reflects their high standards.
If you're someone with aspirations and interest in clinical or educational psychology then this is an ideal opportunity for you. As a learning support assistant, you will be working with a range of complex neuropsychological needs and challenging behaviours that will provide an ideal stepping-stone to further training and experience.
