Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children’s service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West. The senior leadership team has been transformed to ensure the right people have oversight of the organisation.
We are looking for an experienced Finance Director who has extensive knowledge in Fintech and can contribute towards our digital transformation working alongside our CTO and overseeing our Finance department.
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage all aspects of a company's financial health and long-term growth, ensuring financial stability and profitability by developing strategies, managing budgets, and overseeing financial operations.

Skills Required for this role:
* The ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the overall business goals.
* Pro-active, decisive, adaptable with an ability to manage high levels of pressure
* Proficient in Fintech to greatly contribute towards a digital transformation.
* Fluent in languages such as Python, Java and JavaScript for building and maintaining fintech applications.
* Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services
* Cybersecurity knowledge and skills
* Exceptional commercial acumen and business knowledge
* Outstanding communication skills with people at all levels and an ability to influence
* Proficiency in financial software
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking
* Understanding and assessing financial risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities:
The Finance Director is accountable for day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. They will be asked to:
· Leads all Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) including forecasting and budgeting and cash flow management.
* Implement robust financial systems
* Support senior teams to create growth strategies and plans
* Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders
* Maintaining and building Fintech applications
* Present complex data in a clear and understandable format
* Leverage technology to navigate and comply with financial regulations
* Advise the CEO and Senior Management Team on all matters relating to financial performance
* Lead and motivate the finance team
* Develops Strategies to increase return on investment and Profitability
* Prepare annual accounts
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
* Present Financial Reports executives, board members, investors and other stakeholders
* Control all financial and accountancy matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts, compliance, presentation of management information and KPIs
* Support the business through change and growth periods, coordinating corporate finance, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions, as appropriate
* Ensure the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
* Meet Deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
