The position
We are currently looking for a Global Customer Order Handler to manage the orders for HBK, currently for a 1 year contract. Together with your colleagues in the Global Order Management team, you will support the order processing & shipping for HBK, ensuring delivery on time to our customers and high-quality support for our internal customers. You will ensure customer and regulatory requirements are met for orders in close collaboration with colleagues from Sales, Operations/Supply Chain, Export Control, Customer Care and Finance. You will be based in our office in Royston, UK and have a close collaboration with your collegues in both the UK, Germany, Portugal and Denmark.
Primary responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering and improving on:
1. Order management (entry and processing) in accordance with applicable targets for delivery compliance.
2. Follow-up on order backlog globally
3. Prepare and follow up on credit control & prepayments
4. Prepare export and import declarations & documents (including appropriate labelling, customs clearance, HS codes, certificates and handling of dangerous goods)
5. Booking and handling of shipments; primarily via courier & air freight.
6. Invoicing of orders
7. Close cooperation with internal departments; and external partners as Authorities, Freight Forwarders and Suppliers
8. Handling of import & intrastat
9. Handling of customer claims and complaints
10. Continuous improvements of processes and contributing in work-shops and team projects
To be our next Order Handler ideally you will possess:
11. Previous experience with order processing, shipping or logistics preferred
12. Experience working in a customer service oriented environment that works to tight deadlines
13. Excellent communication skills
14. Experience in Microsoft Office suite and Oracle or SAP ERP
15. Fluent in English
16. Experience in working with LEAN and continuous improvements an advantage
