Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* One-to-One Support: Work closely with individual students, offering tailored support to address their educational and personal development needs. This includes helping with classwork, supporting behavioural growth, and providing emotional guidance as necessary
* General Classroom Support: Assist teachers with classroom tasks such as supporting small groups of students, helping with lesson preparation, and ensuring all students receive the assistance they need to succeed
* Collaboration with Teachers and SENCo: Partner with teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to ensure all students, especially those with SEN, are supported effectively

* Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).

Your training plan
At the end of the apprenticeship, you will achieve the following:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
* Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if applicable)
The apprenticeship will be delivered via Teams meetings every 4-6 weeks and observations in the workplace alongside your job role.
There is no day release required for this training.

GCSE in:
