If so, we'd love you to join our dynamic Housing Services team at Broadacres The Role As an Income Management Team Leader, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting a team of colleagues to deliver excellent income management services. You'll ensure that customers are given the advice and support they need to manage their tenancies, with a focus on maximising income, sustaining tenancies, and adhering to relevant legislation. Working closely with the Housing Services Manager, you'll take responsibility for the development of policies and procedures and actively contribute to Broadacres' mission, vision, and corporate goals. What You'll Be Doing: • Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and support a team of colleagues, managing workflow, performance, and priorities. Conduct one-to-ones, appraisals, and recruit new team members when needed. • Training & Development: Nurture, train, and develop colleagues to build their confidence, skills, and knowledge in income management services. • Complex Case Management: Provide advice and guidance on complex cases, ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation, pre-court protocols, and statutory guidance. • Income Maximisation: Manage strategies for effective income management and ensure customers receive advice and support for tenancy sustainment. Attend court and evictions, ensuring legal action is taken appropriately. • Court & Legislation: Attend court hearings, manage evictions, and ensure possession orders for arrears are sought as a last resort. • Collaboration & Partnerships: Liaise with local authorities, DWP, and other external agencies to build relationships, organise data exchanges, and stay up to date on welfare legislation. • Performance Analysis: Produce and analyse performance data related to rent collection, arrears, legal actions, universal credit, housing benefit, and other income-related activities. • Systems & IT: Ensure effective use of IT systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to system development. • Customer Service & Complaints: Resolve escalated complaints and provide top-notch service to both internal and external customers. • Quality Assurance: Devise and implement a quality assurance framework for income management services, ensuring continuous improvement. Who We're Looking For: • Experienced Leader: Experience in supervising and leading teams, with a strong focus on workflow management, training, and performance monitoring. • Income Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of income management, rent collection, arrears, and welfare legislation, with experience in attending court hearings and managing complex cases. • Collaborative & Strategic: A team player who works well with colleagues across departments, promoting collaboration and strategic thinking to drive organisational goals. • Customer-Focused: Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide detailed advice and support on income management and tenancy sustainment. • Data-Driven: Ability to produce and analyse performance data to ensure high standards of income management and service delivery. • IT Proficiency: Strong understanding of IT systems and digital tools, with the ability to identify and implement improvements. • Excellent Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to customers and colleagues.
