Job summary We are looking for an experienced midwife with enthusiasm for delivering high quality women centred care, to join our team of Delivery Suite Coordinators. The Delivery Suite coordinator has responsibility for the organisation of workload within the department promoting continuity of carer and liaising with team leaders. In addition you will provide leadership, act as a mentor across the service and promote positive multidisciplinary team working. Harrogate is a high performing maternity unit and we are seeking highly motivated individuals to contribute and develop the delivery of high quality, evidence-based midwifery. Please note, flexible working is available for this role, however the successful candidates will be required to work regular nights and weekends. We also operate a 'hospital on call' system in which midwives are on call to support the maternity service during high acuity overnight. The successful candidates will be expected to take part in this, being on call one night per 4 week roster period. Main duties of the job Coordinate services to ensure that the individual needs of service users and their families are met. To provide care, support and advice to women and their families throughout the intrapartum and immediate post natal period. To be a clinical role model demonstrating expert clinical practice whilst providing support and advice for less experienced midwives and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
