Community Safety Officer

£35,424 per annum
37 hours Monday to Friday
The Community Safety Officer will deliver a person-centred approach to handling anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches in our community through mediation and excellent case management.
You will manage a caseload where legal interventions are required, maintaining a good working relationship with internal and external partners to achieve positive resolutions, as well as having a strong knowledge of housing and anti-social behaviour legislation.

As a Community Safety Officer, you will:
* Proactively work to understand the needs of customers and the safeguarding and vulnerabilities that may arise while delivering the job.
* Manage and prepare cases for court proceedings and provide regular updates on their position, acting as a leading officer regarding high-level ASB.
* Work closely with customers to develop strong relationships with local communities, and foster positive and collaborative relationships with key agencies and internal teams.
* Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure customer involvement in our service delivery.
* Manage ASB cases, support victims, and seek enforcement remedies where appropriate, negotiating and mediating low-level neighbour disputes.
The successful Community Safety Officer will have:
* Experience in a Housing Management environment within Social Housing or similar transferable skills.
* Experience working with customers from diverse backgrounds, tackling complex housing-related issues.
* Ability to communicate effectively and adapt style to meet the needs of the recipient.
* Ability to meet deadlines and monitor & manage performance.
* A commitment to building a strong, high-performing team.
* Ability to handle challenging situations and think on your feet.
* Ability to represent the organization in all settings and act as an ambassador.
* Experience managing cases of anti-social behaviour through to court.
* Good knowledge of legislation surrounding tenancy management and ASB.
