Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Toolpath Programmer to join our team and play a crucial role in the production of high-quality programs for the Formula One race car. As part of our innovative and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for ensuring that all CNC programs are developed efficiently and effectively to meet production timelines. As a CNC Toolpath Programmer, your key responsibilities will be: Programming Operations: Carry out programming tasks using Computer-Aided Manufacture (CAM) and Simulation Tools as directed by the Toolpath Programming Manager. Production Engineering Solutions: Supply CNC programs and all necessary documentation to enable efficient, right-first-time manufacture. Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness: Ensure components are produced in the most efficient, cost-effective manner while minimising lead times. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with departments like Drawing Office, Machine Shop, and Pattern Shop to ensure smooth processes and alignment across all stages of production. Jig and Fixture Design: Design and provide information for jigs or fixtures required for part work holding during manufacturing. Information Supply: Provide necessary data and drawings for part manufacture, including information for on-line programmed operations and effective inspection processing. Scheduling and Data Accuracy: Ensure all scheduling information is kept up to date and accurate, contributing to smooth workflow management. We are looking for a CNC Toolpath Programmer with the following skills and experience: Apprentice trained in Mechanical Production Engineering. Strong experience using CNC machining centres (3, 4, and 5-axis). Proficient in NX CAM and Vericut Simulation software. In-depth knowledge of Turing, Mill Turn, and Milling programming. Understanding of G and M codes and cutter selection for optimized manufacturing. Proficiency in NX CAM for CNC code creation. Vericut Simulation experience to ensure optimized, collision-free programs. Strong design for manufacture knowledge to support efficient, right-first-time production. Ability to identify and execute efficient manufacturing methods from drawings and models.
