About the job: Key Responsibilities Loan Sales responsibilities Supporting the origination and syndicate teams in their loan underwriting activity. Accompany the bank’s Originate to Distribute strategy leveraging their investor knowledge. Investor Coverage: Non-bank Financial Institutions for Leveraged Finance, Project Finance and Distressed debt; and bank investors for all asset classes in EMEA and Asia. Execution and closing of primary and secondary trades for underwritten positions, the banking book and the loan trading book. Being the bank’s main point of contact for purchases and sales of performing loans as well as sales of non-performing loans. Sharing market knowledge with the origination, client coverage and portfolio teams. Coordinating with different units of the bank (client coverage, origination, legal, debt advisory, compliance, back-office, new business) to ensure the performance of the above tasks. Maintaining regular contact (meetings, calls, written communication) with investors. Ensuring timely and accurate recording of investor activity, trading and appetite. Execution Performing market soundings and giving pricing and liquidity feedback for new issues. Holding regular meetings with investors to strengthen relationships and generate reverse enquiries. Attending market events to be updated with the latest market developments and to enhance the profile of the bank. Participating in calls and meetings with the LSST and other teams in order to share knowledge of investors’ lending appetite, activity and investment trends. Keeping the CRM systems updated with regular notes and investor interaction. Defining the list of investors (and Non-Payment Insurance as appropriate) in the syndication process with Syndicate. Coordinating with onboarding and counterparty limit teams to ensure all investors are KYC’d and have settlement limits available for any particular trade. Staying informed of the latest loan market developments, including alternative distribution methods, such as Non Payment Insurance, loan repackaging. General Fostering cross-selling of CIB products. Overseeing and contributing in internal and external administrative tasks. Previous experience 6 years of experience in loans sales, preferably project finance, leveraged finance and corporate loan to banks and NBFIs. Candidates from investment banks, advisory firms, commercial banks will be most relevant to this role. Languages and technical knowledge Fluency in English (oral and written). Proficiency in Spanish and other European languages (French, German or Italian) would be a plus. Debtdomain, Bloomberg and MS Suite. Soft skills Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently negotiate with senior stakeholders. Team player but also comfortable working independently with limited supervision when needed. Multi-tasker and able to work under time pressure. Skills:
