Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum + car allowance
About the Role:
Our client, a prominent M&E contractor with a turnover in excess £40M, is seeking an Electrical Estimator with commercial and industrial sector experience. Based in their West Midlands office, this is a full-time role offering a fantastic opportunity to work on substantial projects valued up to £13M (M&E) with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Estimation: Lead electrical estimating projects, providing comprehensive preliminary and final estimations for electrical installations.
2. Technical Analysis: Review and technically assess tender returns.
3. Cost Planning: Develop detailed cost plans and budgets for projects.
4. Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects within the estimation phase, ensuring accurate forecasting and budget alignment.
5. Procurement: Coordinate procurement of sub-contractors and supply items.
6. Tender Documents: Ensure all tender documents are accurate and align with project requirements.
7. Tender Submission: Prepare and submit tenders within stipulated timelines.
8. Technical Expertise: Utilize strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation standards, and regulations to guide accurate estimations.
9. Estimating Software: Use Trimble estimating software to generate and compile detailed cost estimates.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
1. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the commercial/industrial sector.
2. Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation standards.
3. Proficient in using estimating software, ideally Trimble.
4. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Employment Details:
1. Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a car allowance.
2. Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
