Job summary We wish to recruit an Assistant Psychologist for our North Cumbria Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health team within our eating disorder pathway. Under the guidance of a Clinical Psychologist you will work with young people, their families, and their wider support network. You will work within an established multidisciplinary team supporting with psychological assessments, evidence based treatments, audits and research. Main duties of the job The role is a 12-month fixed term contract which is ideal for gaining experience in children's eating disorders and systemic working. Key aspects of the roles will be supporting the process of assessment, formulation and intervention with individuals who require specialist support beyond universal and targeted services.This may include individual or group-based work alongside the multidisciplinary team, as well as supporting multidisciplinary staff with their psychological understanding of children and young people and assisting in psychological assessments and interventions. The successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. You will receive regular management and clinical supervision.
