Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students in their educational journey, working closely with the teaching staff to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
4. Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
5. Supporting students with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
6. Helping to maintain a positive learning environment, promoting student engagement and behaviour.
7. Providing academic, social, and emotional support to students.
8. Contributing to the school's inclusive ethos by fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all learners.
What We're Looking For
9. Experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a Teaching Assistant or in a support role.
10. A passion for education and helping young people to succeed.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
12. Flexibility and adaptability, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
13. Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is desirable but not essential.
14. A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent); additional qualifications in childcare or education are a plus.
