Following the appointment of a new Chief People Officer, our client is looking to build out their team and surround themselves with passionate individuals that are excited by a journey. This HR function is certainly not the finished article; there is lots of work to do in terms of policies and procedures and really delivering a first-class employee experience. As such, we are looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner who, alongside traditional business partnering, will be responsible for Wellbeing, Occupational Health and thinking differently about work patterns and flexibility for Teaching Personnel.
This role is working within the world of education, and the Trust (of primary and secondary schools across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) cares deeply about their pupils. They are looking for an individual that can really support the people within the Trust. In particular, you will excel in building relationships and partnering with school principals and line managers across the Trust, guiding them with all people-related matters. Working closely with Talent and Learning and Development to help build high performing teams, inputting into succession plans and ensuring everybody has everything they need for their personal development.
Your daily duties will include employee relations - case management, investigations, data insights, analytics, occupational health, pay & reward, and wellbeing.
What you will be doing:
We are looking for an exceptional HR professional to join the team to develop and lead on Employee Experience ambitions by providing forward-thinking, responsive Business Partnering services across the Trust. This encompasses the breadth of HR work from case management, investigations, to data insights, analytics through to Occupational Health and wellbeing; ensuring the Trust remains compliant with employment law, health and safety, conditions of service, policies/procedures, and best practice.
Leading the development and application of the People (HR) policies that are intrinsically aligned to their mission and values, you will play a critical role in ensuring that employees experience the sort of magic that they endeavor to create for all of the children, students, and learners that they serve. Using people data and insights to inform evidence-based decision making and action, you will help to shape their health and wellbeing approach and proactively lead on a wide range of strategic areas including employee relations and pay and reward. You will play a key role in challenging social disadvantage, delivering on our diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the Trust's vision, growth, and strategic plan.

With this role having line responsibility, you will enjoy supporting and developing individuals to ensure they reach their full potential. You will have experience working within a senior HR role with a strong track record of employee relations case management. We are looking for an experienced HR business partner; the world of education is changing, and this person will need to be an excellent relationship builder to really support the principals of each school with their strategy and challenges the Trust and the schools on a local level face and support with solutions.
We are ideally looking for somebody that has experience working in a HR role within Education and the experience that comes with navigating and building relationships with Unions.
