Up to £40,000 PA – Based in Lytham
Role Overview:
The Planner is crucial to our manufacturing operations, ensuring the availability of finished goods in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop annual production plans and identify gaps
* Lead the Sales and Operations Planning process
* Optimize production schedules with the Production Manager
* Maintain optimal levels of Work In Progress (WIP)
* Manage stock movements within the Stock Management System (SMS, like SAGE)
* Control new item codes and Bill of Materials (BOM) within SMS
* Provide KPI reports on Conformance to Plan (CtP), machine efficiency, and production waste
Specific Responsibilities:
* Collaborate to develop a twelve-week manufacturing schedule
* Prepare production schedules and lists of required materials
* Ensure production runs align with plans and maximize equipment usage
* Coordinate with QC for efficient processing of inbound goods
* Accommodate seasonal trends and special product promotions
Order Allocation:
* Generate monthly order requirements within stock levels
* Update batch records daily and allocate batches efficiently
* Reconcile all manufactured product batches
Stock Management System:
* Create new item/product codes and BOMs
* Monitor and process daily write-offs
* Control stock adjustments within SMS
General Responsibilities:
* Manage reporting systems and continuous improvement programs
* Attend meetings, produce reports, and perform other duties as required
Person Specification:
* Experience: Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing planning role.
* Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Proficiency in Stock Management Systems (like SAGE)
o Excellent communication and coordination abilities
o High attention to detail and organizational skills
