The role were hiring for is a Finance Assistant to join our team based in Bicester. You'll be keeping the company's bookkeeping up to scratch and handling key financial tasks for the Finance Team, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll also provide accurate, high-quality information to the Finance Team and anyone else who needs it. Plus, you'll make sure financial data is processed on time, following company policies and procedures. What you receive for joining us: Were looking to offer a salary of £25,000 - £27,000. In addition, we offer 28 days of holiday including Bank Holidays, which increases with length of service. Heres a look at some of the things youll be doing: Manage invoicing using Simpro and Sage Intacct, ensuring invoices are correctly coded to the appropriate cost centres and departments, and sent to the correct contacts. Handle customer queries, issue credit notes when necessary, receipt cash, and manage parking fines, coordinating with the employee and payroll department to recoup any costs. Oversee the invoicing process for our largest client, operate the company staff expense and credit card system (Pleo), ensuring timely submissions and processing in line with the company's expense policy. Import Pleo data into Sage Intacct, making accruals for unsubmitted credit card costs, and maintain daily control of the Accounts Inbox, responding to both internal and external customer queries. Post supplier invoices, process supplier payments when required, raise purchase orders, reconcile purchase orders to invoices, and perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements. Conduct bank reconciliations and credit control, ensuring all processes are followed correctly and deadlines are met. Obtain invoice approval from relevant personnel, produce analysis and reports as requested, contribute to business improvement, and act as an ambassador for the company both internally and externally. Comply with the Health & Safety Policy, ensuring safety in the work area and reporting accidents or near misses. Can you show experience in some of these areas: A minimum of six months experience in the finance field is essential along with being in the early stages of a professional qualification Possess strong analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of accounting expertise, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and Word. Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills, working well with people of varying financial knowledge, and manage workloads to meet tight deadlines under pressure. Be a proactive team player with the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and procedures, while maintaining a positive attitude in a challenging and changing environment.
