Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Wakefield/Kirklees £98-£115 per day Are you an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling opportunity? The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant must be confident at manging challenging behaviour and will be expected to help maintain the high educational standards set by both the students and the teaching staff. This may involve working with students to meet learning objectives, assisting in assessments, and helping to create a positive and productive learning environment for learners. You will work closely with Teachers to assist in the planning, preparing and delivery of lessons, ensuring that activities are inclusive and meet the needs of each child. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant in a Primary School, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across all key stages. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons. Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support. Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment. Supervising students during break times and lunch. Helping to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to enhance the educational experience of our students. Qualifications and Requirements: HLTA qualification or equivalent. Previous experience working as an HLTA in a primary school. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for education and a commitment to the well-being and development of students. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methods.
