Project Manager (USK Catchment Partnership)
Location: Brecon
Salary: Grade 9 £36,648 - £39,186 per annum
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract, 31st March 2025
The Role
1. To manage the development and delivery of projects and programmes through initiation, implementation, monitoring and review, including managing associated risks and issues and comprehensive reporting and dissemination.
2. To provide expertise in programme and project management ensuring projects and programmes are designed and delivered on time, within budget and to agreed outcomes.
3. To work collaboratively across the organisation and with relevant stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective management and delivery of high-quality projects.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience in a relevant discipline
2. Recognised project management qualification
Knowledge/Experience:
1. Significant demonstrable experience and track record of managing the delivery of high-quality projects/programmes
2. Knowledge and understanding of project management practices, systems, processes and procedures
3. Experience of working with and involving others in the development and implementation of projects
4. Proven work record of consistently achieving high standards and delivering objectives and priorities
5. Proven experience of managing budgets and contracts
Skills/Abilities:
1. Ability to manage complex work areas/projects in parallel and simultaneously
2. Good relationship management and the ability to foster joint working across team boundaries and with stakeholders
3. Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
4. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyse, interpret and resolve issues
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
6. Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office software
7. Full driving licence
8. Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
9. Level 0 Welsh Language Skill

Benefits
1. 23 days per annum plus 8 public holidays and 2 extra statutory days, pro rata. Leave entitlement rises annually to 26 days per annum after 5 years' service.
