Procurement Manager Location: Enfield, United Kingdom Job Type: Full-time Salary: £60k - £70k per annum Direct Reports: Buyer x 2, Senior Logistics Administrator, Logistics Administrators x 2 We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our Commercial Business Unit, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial. This role involves developing and executing global sourcing strategies, leading a purchasing team, and overseeing the logistics team to ensure compliance and efficiency in all procurement and logistical activities. Day-to-day of the role: Develop robust sourcing strategies for existing and new products or services in line with Life Cycle Management principles. Establish effective commercial partnerships with key strategic suppliers to ensure successful execution of current and future programmes. Ensure all imports and exports comply with relevant legislation and procedures, adapting to legislative changes. Drive continuous performance improvement across all areas of supply chain, including logistics. Lead and manage the procurement team, setting departmental and personal objectives. Manage the procurement processes for competitive tendering, from supplier selection to contract award, in line with procurement plans and governance. Represent the procurement function in the development and introduction of new products. Regular travel within the UK and overseas as required, often at short notice. Required Skills & Qualifications: Extensive experience in a purchasing/commercial role at Executive Management level, with a track record of implementing large and complex contracts. Strong understanding of MRP, Kanban, contract law, risk management, and negotiation. Proven leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management. Excellent communication skills with experience presenting at Director level. Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with a “can do” attitude. Drive and initiative to maximise profit and Free Cash Flow (FCF) in all business aspects. Qualifications: HNC/Degree or equivalent in a technical or business-related subject. CIPS membership desired.
