We Are Currently Recruiting for a Head of Housing
The overall purpose of the Head of Housing role is to develop and lead a large, integrated community housing and older persons' living function. This will involve delivering operational excellence and efficiency, while driving the customer strategy through progressive and customer-centred approaches to housing services. The role will also focus on mitigating risks to the organisation’s rental income of over £32 million through effective allocations, lettings, and exemplary housing management practices, including the resolution of anti-social behaviour (ASB).
We are looking for someone who is an inspirational leader, capable of fostering a high-support, high-challenge environment where colleagues feel empowered to excel. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of housing law and best practices, along with strong interpersonal and strategic skills. They should be innovative, data-driven, and committed to delivering an outstanding customer and colleague experience.
As part of the role you will be responsible for leading a proactive and progressive housing service, shaping strategies that align with our Corporate Plan, and driving cultural change within the organisation. You will work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure the achievement of strategic outcomes while serving as a guardian of our values and behaviours.
A degree or equivalent experience in housing or housing-related services is essential, and you will need up-to-date knowledge of current housing law, best practices, and the practical application of case law.
If you are an experienced and dynamic leader with a passion for driving change and delivering excellent housing services, we would love to hear from you. Join us in shaping the future of Valleys to Coast and making a real difference in our communities.
As an equal opportunities employer, Valleys to Coast is committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees and does not condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership.
