Our team in Blackburn are seeking to appoint an experienced and capable individual in the role of Service Centre Lead Operative.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will undertake daily operations within the Service Centre facility.
Acting as part of a team, duties will include ensuring the decontamination/assembly team are cleansing, building, and modifying a range of medical devices whilst also satisfying dispatch and quality check responsibilities. The Service Centre Lead Operative will lead service operators/technicians in a fast-paced environment and be consistent in ensuring the team are producing a high standard of work. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the success of the depot and demonstrate a good work ethic in all aspects of employment and the role.
Key tasks and accountabilities will include the following;
Work in collaboration and be responsible to lead members of the team managing servicing and maintenance for all customers.
Schedule and organise workload to ensure good coverage and utilisation of resources.
Work with the wider team to support continued quality of product, cost efficiencies and achieving KPIs.
Contribute to and improve the consistent delivery of high standards and process development within production and manufacturing operations.
Uphold strict confidentiality with regards to Company operations, policies, and future plans
Deliver works in accordance with ISO procedures.
Any other task for which the postholder is qualified and experienced to undertake.
Applicants should possess a background in supervising and leading service operators and technicians, possess excellent attention to detail and demonstrate a flexible, adaptable, and energetic approach to work.
A background in production of medical devices is essential and possessing an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification would be an advantage.
Good communication and experience working in a team and collaborating with colleagues is essential as is being tidy, organised and ensuring the workplace is safe.
Possession of a UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
