Your Impact
Reporting to the Head of Corporate IT, this role will provide effective 2nd line IT Support services to internal colleagues within MHR across three sites, ensuring that an effective and proactive service is given in a customer-centric manner.
This is an intermediate role that involves supporting and mentoring junior IT staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 2nd line IT support for various devices and software, use IT support toolsets, and maintain an overview of the service desk system.
* Engage in project-based work utilising skills around servers, management solutions, networking, and supplier engagement.
* Office technologies such as Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and maintain Power Apps and Azure Logic Apps.
* Ensure procedures and technical guides are documented to a high standard and contribute to departmental improvement plans and projects.
* Support 1st line staff through teaching and mentoring, and work as part of a team to provide a quality service.
* Demonstrate ownership of technical issues, partake in learning and development activities, and participate in the departmental on-call rota.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support Engineer role or similar position.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Demonstrable experience with network troubleshooting and configuration.
* Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices; adherence to ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certifications and standards.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, utilising skills to work independently, on own initiative, and as part of a team.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
