Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess students' work, provide constructive feedback, and use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching strategies. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Student Engagement: Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote a love for chemistry. Lesson Planning: Develop and implement detailed lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students. Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental and school-wide initiatives. Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Collaborative Working: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for improving student outcomes. Extra-curricular Activities: Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and chemistry-related clubs or competitions.Qualifications and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field. A postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred. Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required. Experience: Previous experience teaching chemistry at the Key Stage 3 and 4 levels is highly desirable. Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
