The role Lead Exciting Responsible Procurement Programmes – Drive Policy, Governance, and Compliance to Shape a Sustainable Future. Your day to day Serve as a leader within Responsible Procurement team to build and execute strategies and collaborate with Responsible Procurement colleagues in defining and executing initiatives that deliver on commitments made as part of IHG’s Responsible Business strategy. Lead the setup & implementation of Policy, Governance & Compliance programme across Global Procurement, the wider business & managed hotels (as appropriate), including programme managing various workstreams, reviewing current procurement-related policies, benchmarking externally, leading revision processes and approvals, training to business stakeholders, compliance strategy and success metrics definition. Lead on delivery of external reporting for ESG initiatives, including metrics and data collection. Develop guidelines to operational teams in business and hotels to help them source responsibly. Provide insight and guidance on ongoing evolution and implementation of responsible procurement related strategy and targets. Proactively understand legislative and ethical expectations associated with supply of products and services. Research appropriate solutions from external best practices and help develop ways of applying them internally. Work closely with CR, Risk, Ethics, Finance and Governance teams to support raising awareness of IHG’s responsible business commitments internally. Stakeholder management – Engage with wider procurement function to facilitate an understanding of responsible procurement topics in the supply chain and how it supports the business. To excel in this role, you’ll bring: Relevant experience in procurement policy, sustainability & risk management, or both; however, specific sustainability experience is not a pre-requisite for the role. Experience within a franchise or complex organisational environment, engaging with diverse stakeholder groups. Confident in collaborating across the organisation to drive progress on the Responsible Procurement agenda. Strong understanding of responsible business-related risks and opportunities. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and controls. Ability to influence colleagues and navigate a matrix organisation effectively. Excellent prioritisation, organisational, and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional communication skills.
