We are hiring an Indirect Tax Manager in our London, UK office. This position will mainly manage non-US indirect tax compliance and advisory matters. You may also be required to assist with US indirect tax compliance. You would have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the existing tax team as well as cross-functionally with other groups within the finance organization and provide support to the commercial teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT and GST returns in a number of jurisdictions.
2. Ensuring full compliance with all indirect tax filing requirements and any related internal governance.
3. Working with key stakeholders to provide accurate indirect tax advice where needed.
4. Continuously evaluating technology and automation solutions across all indirect taxes.
5. Managing new initiatives from an indirect tax perspective and model implementation scenarios as they relate to indirect tax.
6. Identifying ongoing indirect tax risks and opportunities and mitigate / implement them where possible.
7. Providing indirect tax training and update presentations to the finance and business teams.
8. Implementing appropriate control frameworks and policies related to indirect tax matters.
9. Building new processes to monitor changes in global indirect tax laws.
10. Assisting with indirect tax audits where applicable.
11. Work collaboratively within the Tax team and within the wider Finance team.
Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of relevant Indirect Tax experience in public practice and/or industry.
2. Strong legislative research skills.
3. Experience with goods movements and financial services a plus.
4. Strong excel skills - comfortable with complex formulas.
5. Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
6. Strong interpersonal skills to build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Quick learner with a positive attitude and professionalism.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
