CLINICAL Care Home Managers, I've been in this care home and it's amazing but there's a few buts!
So I ask you, how much does the size of your budget, salary, team, home and knowledgebase matter? Quite a lot, right?
So, if you were to consider a Home Management position in any home, you'd want to know:
* Budget = Conscientiously weighted & well managed, thanks to long-standing independent owners with little or no mortgage/lease BUT you've got a responsibility to use it wisely.
* Salary = Negotiable for the best people £50k-£55k depending on, experience, interview performance BUT you must be clinical.
* Team = CQC commended staffing levels, strong clinical staff bank, bolstered with overseas team members elsewhere in the group BUT you need to emulate that here, it's not the finished article.
* Home = Medium-sized, transitioning to end-of-life care and away from challenging behaviour BUT beds need to be SAFELY filled.
* Knowledgebase = Exceptional, quality leadership, training team, modern marketing, ex-CQC inspector etc
There you have it. This position represents an opportunity to work for one of the most forward-thinking up-and-coming independent care groups in the UK BUT you've got to be at the top of your game.
Every home in the group has bags of character in itself, its people and its residents. Most importantly, we're not here to satisfy investors and shareholders, we're here to make a difference.
