Job Title: Aftermarket Operations Planner
Working Pattern: Full-time
Location: Derby/Hybrid – 3 days on site
Rolls-Royce are recruiting for Aftermarket Operations Planners to join their team in Derby. The roles will be responsible for maintaining and delivering a clear operational plan of our engines and parts as they progress through our overhaul facilities and repair vendors across our global network. This role is a key interface point for the broader, global Aftermarket organisation and will interface with the executive leadership team of our MRO service providers as well as with the different Engine value streams. To be successful in this position you should be able to plan and coordinate a variety of operational activities in a diverse technical environment.
What you will be doing:
1. Co-ordinating with operational teams in Overhaul bases and repair vendors – understanding and acting upon challenges and opportunities within the operational plan
2. Making timely, common sense operational decisions which may include but not limited to parts allocations, engine induction decisions, expediting repairs and when to escalate for help from support teams
3. Engaging with customer teams and/or overhaul bases to support strong communication to our global customer base on the status of the plan
4. Managing KPIs and performance against targets
5. Identifying and implementing process improvements
6. Ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of the overall plan and co-ordinating required actions from support teams
7. Lead supplier engagement activities

1. Experience in MRO, supply chain background and/or Planning and Control
2. Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance, repair processes, procedures and familiarity with airworthiness regulations is favourable
3. Able to prioritise, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focus
4. Comfortable with developing and maintaining relationships with operational teams, working with multiple business functions; both technical and non-technical
5. Able to understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues
6. Aptitude for strategic ability, problem solving, and decision making
7. At ease with ambiguity & have agility to accommodate change in a fast-paced operations environment
8. Relevant qualifications/experience in Operational/Supply-chain planning and using enterprise planning systems
