Contract Type: Full Time, 7 months Fixed Term Contract (38 hours per week) Location: Brighton Head Office - Britannia House JOB OVERVIEW This position oversees the effective and timely delivery of Study Group software and systems development, as well as the maintenance of all software platforms. It involves communicating development progress to project management teams, and business partners as needed, and within the Technology department. The role ensures that Study Group development resources possess the required skills, addressing resource constraints proactively. Additionally, it involves crafting and implementing the Study Group IT project delivery methodology in line with strategic business objectives. ABOUT THE ROLE Manage the delivery of projects and platform enhancements on time and on budget. Perform resource allocation and workload assignment according to delivery requirements. Plan projects and product enhancements in sufficient detail to ensure integration of all activities and identification of dependencies. Analyse customer requirements, set delivery priorities and adjust schedules to meet delivery goals. Maintain motivated delivery teams, including third party development resource, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards. Actively build contingency plans to ensure on time project delivery. Working with IT Leadership, proactively participate in the build and management of platform and delivery roadmaps. Ensure that systems are in place to enable staff to be appropriately equipped with operational skills required for their role. Fully align the performance plans of staff to achieve organisational outcomes and evaluate performance accordingly. Build a productive working environment through constructive, regular and timely feedback and by ensuring appropriate involvement, delegation and monitoring of staff. Encourage a culture of accountability, trust, managed conflict, commitment, results, coaching, professional development and self-improvement. Coach team members and others to facilitate continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to enable effective communication between departments. Assist IT Leadership with IT opex and capex budget management and proactively identify and implement cost saving initiatives in both IT opex and capex Assist with on-time payment of IT related invoices by assisting with submission of coded invoices to finance or IT management in a timely manner as required Review delivery related processes and procedures on a quarterly basis and escalate issues. ABOUT YOU Qualifications & Experience: Certified Scrum Master, proven scrum experience and/or managing projects throughout the agile lifecycle. Extensive experience in industry A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. Experience in managing cross-functional delivery teams including remote/offsite and external resources. Understanding of agile, scrum, kanban, scrumban, and related project management frameworks and techniques, with an ability to coach within and outside of the team. Understanding of design thinking, product management, SDLC, release plan process. Ability to maintain, influence and motivate the team and understand team styles and how people work together. Familiarity with a variety of development methods and processes and range of agile toolsets Experience of Salesforce or other SaaS CRM platform. Understanding of web application architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
