We have the exciting opportunity for a Project Estimator/Project Surveyor to join the Commercial Team in a new role to the business.
We are looking for a Project Joinery Estimator/Surveyor to assist with managing the live projects, with potential to grow into the role or become a full time estimator.
This job is for someone who can follow a process and keep conversation and hold their own with the client team. Basic knowledge of joinery is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
As an Project Joinery Estimator/Surveyor your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the variation process, including pricing, publishing, external communication & follow ups.
* Become the main commercial contact for the internal team and the client's team on projects.
* Management of financial documents, including Valuations & invoicing.
* Pricing additional areas on live projects.
* Track, publish and log all Site Dayworks sheets.
* Maintain and adjust financial documents as requested by Project Team.
* Assembling Financial documents and contract information in conjunction with the project estimator.
* Attend Project Handovers to gain in-depth knowledge of the project going forward.
* Attending first initial Design Meetings to understand the project and build a repour with Client Team.
* Assist the Project Managers with any queries regarding scope or budgets.
* Develop and foster relationships with key Cabinet Makers to assist in estimating hours.
* Accurately tracking and inputting Carpentry, Finishing, Site installation hours and all materials required for the project.
Must have:
* 3–5 years in a relevant field, ideally within Bespoke Joinery, or construction sectors.
* Excellent numeracy skills and IT skills with competencies in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Strong understanding of commercial processes in project-based environments.
* Have a practical, logical, and methodical approach to thinking and problem-solving.
Location
The Project Joinery Estimator/Surveyor will be based in Fakenham and possibly 2 days a week in the Norwich office.
Salary & Benefits
For the successful candidate the salary is £30k-£38k
