Purpose & Scope This post holder will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the resilience and business continuity management system across Cardiff Airport and St Athan Aerodrome. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure robust business continuity and operational resilience processes are in place. This role focuses on assisting with the maintenance of the business continuity management system, supporting risk management efforts, maintaining business continuity documentation, and coordinating awareness and training activities. Key Accountabilities and Role Outputs Resilience and Business Continuity Provide support to all functional business areas to develop and maintain a corporate wide business continuity management system that addresses business recovery. Assist in the development and operation of the resilience and business continuity management system. Support the creation and maintenance of business continuity documentation. Assist in integrating operational resilience and business continuity considerations into projects. Promote compliance with the business continuity policy. Coordinate awareness and training programmes. Support the development and implementation of contingency and disaster recovery plans where required, ensuring issues identified are adequately addressed. Support the testing, exercising and embedding of business continuity, emergency response and risk management activities. Assist in the maintenance of action trackers related to business continuity events, emergency response and risk management functions. Risk Management Assist with departmental operational risk registers, business risk register, risk mapping and identification of critical business risks. Support the development of a new and emerging risk reporting system. Monitor and track risk trends, detect early warning signs, report and support mitigation efforts within relevant business areas. Provide support to the Emergency Planning and Operational Resilience Officer in facilitating risk workshops, offering risk management guidance and assisting with the coordination of the business risk register. Support risk register assurance through risk workshops, internal audits, and performance monitoring. Promote compliance with the risk management policy. Emergency Planning This post holder may be required to support with the maintenance of the Emergency Response Plan.
