An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator to join a global automotive manufacturer. The successful Logistics Administrator will work a rotational shift pattern of
6am-2pm/2pm-10pm Monday -Friday.
The Logistics Administrator will be responsible for communicating with the end customer and ensuring accurate representation of customer orders on the internal ERP system.
Further Responsibilities Include:
* Receive the customer schedule information and introduce it onto the internal ERP system on a daily basis.
* Progress logistics issues with appropriate departments to ensure that timely delivery to the customer is maintained.
* Control transport activities to the customers.
* Liaise with the Projects Department to control prototype and trial parts requested by the customer.
* Manage returnable packaging (repairs, shortages, loops, etc.).
* Communicate with customers regarding day-to-day issues.
* Create and manage catch back plans as a result of short shipments to customers.
* Support the Logistics lead in developing and improving the customer logistics department (information flow, etc.).
* Create shipment paperwork for all customers.
* Manage and update customer portals.
* Progress chase for delivery shortages between warehouse and shop floor and support the warehouse team with shortage requirements updates.
Ideally, candidates should be computer literate in Microsoft Office programs, ERP systems, and EDI interfaces. Experience in a similar role within the automotive industry would be advantageous.
