Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking for a Asbestos Quality Manager to join the team on a full-time temporary basis. Your new role
As a Asbestos Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, performance, legislativepliance and technical direction of the asbestos analytical service of the laboratories. You will develop themercial strategies for the asbestos service to meet financial targets, and oversee the quality system to ensure retention of the UKAS accreditation. This includes: This includes:
1. Management and development of the quality system
2. Management of the quality procedures and associated documentation
3. Planning and management of technical and system audits
4. Supervision of training plans and assessment of staff
5. Effective management of non-conformities and associated corrective/preventative actions
6. Management of quality records and controlled documents
7. Identify resource requirements with respect to the quality system
8. Maintenance of relationship with UKAS
9. Maintenance of internal and external quality control schemes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this role, you will need to have experience in a similar role and to also hold an appropriate Certificate of Medical Examination with respect to the requirements of Regulation 16 of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations. This role will be an ASAP start, which before starting you will need to pass your reference,pliance, and driving checks, upon registration please have your 2 most recent employment details available.
