About the role
Here is an opportunity for you to join Stryker and work in the exciting, fast-paced Medical Devices market that is Sports Medicine.
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales in the Birmingham territory and for developing relationships with users of the Sports Medicine portfolio. He/she is required to manage existing business and account manage the established customers, while hunting down new business opportunities within the territory. A solid understanding of Arthroscopy in the shoulder and knee is desirable, along with an understanding of procedurally focused sales into the surgical field in the NHS.
What we expect from you:
Customer service and acquisition of new customers.
Territory planning, executing, and monitoring all measures necessary to guarantee achieving budget.
This encompasses in particular:
1. Customer selection and targeted sales approach.
2. Plan and execute on a quarterly and annual business plan, showing management of existing revenue streams and customers, and driving acquisition across the territory to generate growth.
3. Control all resources and materials in his/her territory (demo kit).
4. Customer care for physicians, surgical/theatre staff, and hospital administration with the goal of achieving qualitative and sales-oriented consultation.
5. Ensuring products are sold and revenue gains are established within the limits of in-house guidelines.
6. Achieving the sales and margin targets for the territory.
7. Managing contracts and pricing agreements in the territory, working with RSM and PM to ensure this is within the desired company bands.
8. Representing Stryker to all levels of HCP, commissioners, and managers in their territory.
Our essential requirements for our Sales Managers are:
1. B.A. or B.S. degree (or equivalent) ideally in a science or business-based subject.
2. Language: English (fluent).
3. Prior sales experience.
4. Highly disciplined.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Strong interpersonal skills.
7. An individual who takes ‘ownership’.
8. Able to demonstrate your intense drive and desire to succeed and win.
9. Aligned to our values – Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance.
10. Team player.
11. A valid driver’s license.
