Casual Position Overview:
Home Support Workers help our clients with:
* Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
* Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
* Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
* Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
* Recording attendance through a smartphone application as well as a summary of tasks completed.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would be someone who can be proactive in supporting an individual with unique needs and preferences with their daily living activities. They would also need to commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients. We offer flexibility for work within school hours with the casual position. Our aim is to roster with permanent shifts, so being reliable and great with communication is integral to thrive in this role.
Home Support Workers are required to have:
* National Police Check (Less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
* Driver’s License.
* Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
* Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
* (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
* Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
Remuneration:
Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages with the addition of generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for the casual rates of a home support worker. Remuneration is divvied into two sections: the base rate for disability and aged care services, and then the allowances and reimbursements.

* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Availability to work at least three days a week.
* Registered, road-worthy and insured vehicle.
