The company operates various scales of reactor systems, including the largest continuous-flow, multi-nanomaterial manufacturing plant in the world.
The Role
We have an exciting and challenging role for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join Promethean’s Operations team, to accelerate our pioneering work in the large-scale manufacture of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
In the role, you will be responsible for the development of our health and safety strategy and culture. Working closely with all functions across site, you will promote a safe working environment for all areas of the business and ensure our compliance to relevant legislation.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Lead and promote a safety first culture across the site.
2. Develop and maintain a health and safety management system.
3. Ensure our compliance to relevant legislation, such as DSEAR, COSHH, PSSR and PUWER.
4. Lead the health and safety committee, including incident investigations.
5. Ownership of risk management and assessment.
6. Providing health and safety training, development and guidance to staff.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Required:
1. Previous experience in a relevant industry such as Chemical Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Food and Drink or Brewing and Distilling.
2. IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualifications.
3. Experience of ISO 18001.
4. Excellent communicator, from shop floor to director level.
5. Degree qualified in a relevant field.
6. Experience of ISO 14001.
