Job Description
Join ALPADIA’s team to make summer an unbelievable experience! We are looking for highly motivated people, who have the ability to engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves.
Your role:
2. Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care
3. Prepare and lead afternoon and evening activities and/or Premium activities, giving thought to staging to ensure all students enjoy each activity
4. Prepare and lead excursion sessions, giving thought to cultural immersion and student safety
5. Review session plans and excursion material in advance of sessions along with corresponding risk assessments
6. Deliver the standard of quality that our students and stakeholders expect of Alpadia
7. Be friendly and approachable to develop positive relationships with students that help to enhance their overall experience
8. Manage students’ behaviour, with a judicious awareness of the need to sanction or encourage as appropriate
9. Prioritize the safety of students more than anything else, following our Safeguarding and Health and Safety procedures
10. Supervise students’ free time actively and professionally. Ensure rules in the residence are always followed and the accommodation is kept tidy. Ensure the students go to bed and wake up at the appropriate times, accompanying them, as necessary
11. Assist in the check-in/check-out procedure
12. Supervise students at mealtimes
13. Ensure you complete all additional tasks as given by the Camp Manager
Qualifications
Your profile:
Essential
14. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) 3.3 m depth
15. Able to lead, motivate and encourage large groups of teenagers
16. Excellent communicator
17. Ability to work under pressure
18. Excellent organisational and effective communication skills
19. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
20. Adaptable and flexible
21. Display a positive, can do attitude
22. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to its success
23. Experience of working with junior students in education or care setting
Desirable:
24. Experience working in holiday camps or similar organisations
25. Keen interest in culture and sport (preferably with relevant qualifications such as National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or First Aid qualification
26. Experience of working with international students
27. Previous experience of running an activity/leisure programme
