Talent Acquisition Specialist, Pioneering AI Research Organisation - Oxford
Location: Oxford (2 days per week, 3 days from home)
Salary: £70,000 - £120,000 + benefits
Hawkwood are currently partnering with a pioneering AI research and technology organisation who are solving some of humanity’s most critical and enduring challenges.
Led by a faculty of internationally renowned experts, our client is at the forefront of driving innovation within cutting-edge scientific discoveries. This phenomenal organisation are seeking to grow a team of Deeply Technical Talent Acquisition professionals, to facilitate their ambitious hiring plans over the next 24 months.
We have been appointed to build this Talent Acquisition team from scratch. The ideal candidates will have previous experience hiring across a breadth of deeply technical roles (e.g., Machine Learning Engineers, Research Scientists, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, System Engineers etc).
About the Role:
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be instrumental in shaping the organisation’s future by identifying and attracting top talent across various disciplines. Reporting to the senior leadership, this role will involve close collaboration with highly knowledgeable stakeholders in multiple locations, driving the recruitment process from strategy to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with department leaders to create and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, and is designed to attract and secure the best technical and research talent.
* Use talent analytics and market trends to shape the recruitment approach.
* Build exceptionally strong relationships with stakeholders to understand and align with their long-term vision for their teams.
* Seek out exceptional candidates across a mixture of technical, and niche science-related roles.
* Build talent pipelines for the present and future, tapping into new and growing areas.
* Use dashboards and tools to drive data-led decisions, building a narrative that supports the insight.
About you:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruiting, with a specialism in deeply technical engineering or research environments.
* Experience hiring for deeply technical or research roles (I.e. Research Scientists, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Machine Learning Operations etc.).
* A thought partner; offering a consultative approach to building a strategy for a newly formed and growing team.
* Leadership level stakeholder management experience.
* Self-starter who is confident working autonomously.
* Strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle and various sourcing techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with a diverse team.
* High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
