BBC Scotland Productions are looking for a Production Co-ordinator to be part of this exciting production area encompassing a range of genres – Music, Ents & Events; The Impact team, Radio Speech and Sport that deliver continuous and non-continuous content across Digital, Television and Radio platforms for local and Network commissioners.
We are looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to work predominately in our Music, Ents and Events department with output such as TRNSMT, Edinburgh Festival, Breaking the News and Children in Need.
Main Responsibilities
4. Essential business and finance skills – able to prepare, manage, set and/or monitor specific production resource plans and budgets.
5. Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills and manages conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
6. Good communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contributors, agents, crew, contractors and external facilitators and partners.
7. Experience of delivering programmes across multi-platform productions and genres.
8. Responsible for engaging crew, talent and resources in conjunction with the Production Manager to ensure smooth running of each area of broadcast.
9. Responsible for arranging and managing all travel and transport requirements within budget and to very tight schedules.
10. A strong awareness of rights procedure, ensuring all necessary rights are acquired and recorded for the complete delivery of the production/content and if necessary, escalating any issues at the earliest stage.
11. Proven experience of working with BBC Systems, and Silvermouse paperwork along with creating and overseeing mandatory carbon footprint work (Albert)

You should be able to demonstrate your experience of forward planning and the day-to-day co-ordination of logistics and resources to meet production requirements, along with strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence at all levels and negotiate deals and contracts.
