Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience What you'll be doing: Producing and submitting commercial deliverables in line with the contract requirements Supporting the generation and commercial management documentation requirements for bids/ change proposals and governance in accordance with company procedures (e.g. Phase Reviews and Request for Bid Approvals) Interfacing with the customer; providing updates and working collaboratively to resolve issues Providing commercial guidance and instructions to the project team and other internal stakeholders regarding the CSC Implementation bid/ contract and other related work Working collaboratively with other functional and programme stakeholders (e.g. Export Control, Legal, Engineering, Procurement, etc.) to solve issues Developing knowledge, relationships and interfaces with central Group functions (eg Commercial, Group IP, Treasury, Tax, Compliance and Regulation etc.) Your skills and experiences: Essential: Good knowledge of Commercial principles, techniques, and practices Have a strong customer focus Experience working with contracts, ideally in a commercial role Experience of governance processes Strong verbal and written communication skills Desirable: Awareness of Law Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Commercial team: The River Class Destroyer (previously known as the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC)) Programme is Canada's largest Defence Procurement and the build programme is due to commence in April 2025. As a Senior Commercial Officer, you will be a vital member of the RCD Team, collaborating closely with the Commercial Executives to deliver high-quality commercial services that fulfil the operational requirements of the RCD Programme. During the first 12 months, you will work on the Implementation Contract Mobilisation and then move on to Contract delivery, which will provide a broad experience.
