Operations Manager Salary/Hourly Rate - £59,973 to £82,463 per annum (plus benefits) Hours - 40 Hours per week Location & Postcode - Paving Way, Lincoln, LN6 3QWAs the Operations Manager at FCC Environment, you will report to the General Manager and provide leadership to the Day and Shift Operations teams at an established Energy from Waste plant. You will be expected to ensure the team delivers a high-quality service to our client, safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for your own safety and that of all personnel under your authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities. In particular:- Understand and implement the company SHEQ Policy.- Appreciate the responsibilities of personnel under their authority and ensure that each employee knows their responsibility and is equipped to play their part.- Conduct, review and improve Risk Assessments on activities within their site, ensuring that the methods and systems of work are safe and efficient.- Conduct Aspects and Impacts analysis on activities, ensuring methods and systems of work are appropriate to minimise our impact on the environment.- Take a lead role in accident/incident and near-miss reporting, carry out investigations and manage improvements to eliminate future issues.- Ensure that the Environment Permit is adhered to.- Manage the training and competence of the Operations Team.- Implement the company’s disciplinary process robustly and fairly when required.- Set a personal example with regard to SHEQ matters.- Professionally act as the focal point between the Lincolnshire County Council Waste team and the Lincolnshire EfW Operations Team.- Ensure contractual obligations for service and product quality are met.- Understand potential future service and/or product requirements of the customer.
