Graduate Development Programme (GDP) – Join Raytheon UK
Role: Graduate Hardware Engineer
Location(s): Glenrothes / Livingston
Travel: Occasional travel to UK facilities and overseas as required for the role and Early Careers events
Starting Salary: £32,000, plus £3,000 welcome payment and company benefits
Type: Permanent – 1st 2 years graduates complete the GDP structured training programme in addition to day job. As part of the GDP there are biannual pay reviews in years 1 & 2.

About the Role:
Graduate Hardware Engineer (Design) will assist Senior Design Engineers in all aspects of power electronics design and development including: Circuit analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, design verification, troubleshooting and design documentation and reports.
Required Skills:
* Broad Electronics knowledge
* Knowledge of Schematic Capture Tools
* Knowledge of Simulation Tools
* Problem Solving
* Self-Motivated
* Inquisitive
Desired Skills:
* Practical experience in electronics design or test
* Knowledge of firmware and use of VHDL
* Keen interest in electronic design, demonstrated through university projects and/or hobby experience.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
* Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in Honours in Electronics Engineering (already achieved or to be completed by 1 September 2025)
* The successful candidate will be required to complete the Baseline Security Clearance application.
* Flexibility on location and ability to travel to our UK facilities and overseas
* Excellent STEM skills demonstrated through academic achievement
* A passion for succeeding in a fast-paced, technology industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships
