Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Senior Merchandising Manager for Men’s Ready to Wear (MRTW). This leader will be instrumental in developing and executing merchandising strategy for Men’s Ready to Wear across the zone.
Primary functions will include leading the buying strategy and in-season actions to support sales and sell-through objectives, developing and communicating product strategies to the store network and regional merchandisers; partnering closely with the Paris merchandising team.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Build sales objectives for MRTW with Director & VP of Merchandising
* Partake in multiple buying sessions in Paris annually
* Create launch strategy and supervise product flow to stores for newness in close partnership with Supply Chain
Business Acumen
* Build sales objectives for category with Director and VP of Merchandising
* Develop and negotiate Open to Buy with the central team in Paris
* Create assortment plan by store based on local market needs
* Participate in multiple buying sessions in Paris annually – buying collection, inputting orders and reviewing with the central team
* Supervise product flow to stores
* Maximize sell-through by regular business analysis, transfers, and reorders
* Work with marketing and CRM to identify opportunities to grow client base
* Develop programs and incentives in stores to drive business
* Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports for Merchandising VP and Paris Product Team
* Maintain central expense budget including travel, purchase of product samples, training seminars
* Identify new business opportunities – product, network, marketing
* Evaluate and recommend store distribution
Profile
We are eager to speak to professionals who have exceptional experience in retail merchandising/buying with a focus on Men's Ready to Wear. A passionate, pragmatic, and analytical professional who is driven for results and works well in a fast-paced environment; ability to influence across the organization with sophisticated product allocation and product knowledge across the competitive landscape.
In addition, this merchant will be a skilled communicator who can synthesize large data sets and prioritize key opportunities with high expertise levels in Excel. Client experience focused with an eye for details. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as business requires. Must be able to manage and produce high-quality/volume analytical deliverables. Strong relationship-building skills and professional executive presentation presence. Enthusiastic team player with an entrepreneurial spirit who will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $120,000-130,000 annually plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
The position requires 4 days per week on-site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
