ARC Group are working with a well-established support service recruiting for a Mental Health Care Manager covering the Suffolk area. The candidate will be supporting the Head of Services in arranging and attending professional meetings to introduce their services to other organisations in Suffolk.
The company is a dynamic and evolving support service for people experiencing mental health issues, people with learning disabilities, and Autistic people. They are passionate about helping individuals live fulfilling lives. The role involves creating a support package tailored to each service user. Working collaboratively with other agencies, the manager will provide service users with information and support to enable them to achieve the best outcomes.
As the service grows, the role will also incorporate managing a team of staff, including holding supervisions, team meetings, answering staff calls, creating platforms for staff communication, and liaising with other professionals and stakeholders.
People skills, strong communication, organisational, and time-keeping skills are essential for this role. The successful Care Manager will be expected to be creative, innovative, and proactive in problem-solving.
Experience required:
1. Recent experience working in a similar role is essential.
2. Experience in the social care industry is essential.
3. Experience working with people with mental health problems is advantageous.
4. Experience with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential.
5. Experience with CQC registration is an added advantage.
6. Good literacy skills.
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
8. Organizational and time-management skills.
9. Experience with planning workloads and delegating tasks.
10. Full UK Driving Licence.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, there will be significant travel and networking involved, and use of one's own car will be a necessary requirement.
