Our Area Operations team has an opportunity for a Trainee Fitter to join our team in Stockport. About the Opportunity The Trainee Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of the Electrical Plant at ENWL High Voltage Substations. You'll also be trained in various skills, including but not limited to the installation and maintenance of an Electrical plant within a distribution substation, inspection of an Electrical plant and associated Equipment within a distribution substation, and inspection of LV feeder pillars and cable link boxes. You will follow a predetermined training and development plan designed to enable you to gain the appropriate qualifications, knowledge skills to fulfil the role. If you were already in this Trainee Fitter role, you could expect to: Install, maintain, and repair the electrical plant within a distribution substation Read technical diagrams Perform general maintenance on substation equipment Inspect the electrical plant and complete an inspection report Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices Who We are looking for We are looking for a Trainee Fitter with experience working in a similar industry and completion of an electrician apprenticeship or similar (desirable).
