Cranleigh STEM is working with an established, family-run environmental waste management business, we are recruiting for a Graduate Environmental Compliance Coordinator to join their team in South Oxfordshire

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with Environmental Permits, trade effluent discharge consents, surface water discharge consents, abstraction licences, and other regulatory requirements.
* Lead and manage permit applications and variations (internally or via consultants).
* Support site managers in ensuring compliance with environmental permits, investigating and documenting any deviations.
* Review and standardise environmental management systems across sites.
* Assist operational teams during Environment Agency (EA) visits, inspections, and audits.
* Review Environment Agency Compliance Assessment Report (CAR) forms and raise necessary actions.
* Compile, check, and submit quarterly waste returns to the EA.
* Liaise with project teams to ensure Environmental Permit applications or variations align with site developments.
* Analyse and interpret environmental monitoring data to identify trends and non-compliances.
* Submit Schedule 6 reports to the EA following breaches of environmental limits.
* Ensure the timely completion and submission of reports such as Pollution Inventory Returns, Annual Environmental Reports, Hydrogeological Risk Assessments (HRA), and Landfill Gas Risk Assessments (LFGRAs).
* Support compliance with Animal By-Products Regulations for storage and transportation.
What We’re Looking For:
* A graduate in the field of environmental science or a closely related discipline.
* Ideally a placement year or internship in the waste industry, environmental consultancy, or a regulatory role.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
* Environmental degree or similar.
* Full UK driving licence - required for site visits.
* Understanding of Environmental Permitting Regulations and relevant legislation.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
* Effective communicator, capable of liaising with regulatory bodies.
* Ability to work independently and within a team
