Our client is opening a new childcare provision in Bradford and are looking for someone equally as passionate about the care and welfare of children as they are. We are seeking to recruit a full-time, home manager with excellent leadership skills, and have knowledge and understanding of the Childrens home regulations and care standards and takes a positive and committed approach in developing the team to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people aged 8 18 years. As the Home Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Childrens Home, in line with Children s Homes Regulations including the expectations and standards as set out in the homes Statement of Purpose and Ofsted promoting the safeguarding of young peoples welfare and ensuring compliance and to participate in the on-call roster in support of the Childrens Home. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Manage the residential home on a day-to-day basis ensuring it is compliant in meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements, including the health and educational needs of young people and liaise with the Responsible Individual with regards to any possible non-compliance. To hold responsibility as the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) and the person appointed to take lead responsibility for child protection issues in the home. Liaise with other departments and external agencies, in line with Regulation 5 of the childrens homes regulations to ensure that the young people receive appropriate plans, programs, and support in the home to bridge them into the community and to meet contractual requirements. Coach, support and develop staff, including supervision, to maximise their performance and ensure high standards of care, values, ethical standards, equality and diversity, policies and procedures, legislation and contractual and inspection framework requirements are met. Ability to prioritise, manage workload and delegate appropriately. Can demonstrate good leadership and decision-making skills. Promote equality and value diversity by interpreting equality, diversity, and rights in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures and relevant standards.
