We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior FPGA Engineer to join our team, applying your expertise to accelerate our product to launch-ready. We are looking for someone who will collaborate closely with colleagues in our multidisciplinary core technical team and be instrumental in helping to deliver world-class solutions.
As a Senior FPGA Engineer, you will lead our FPGA design development workstreams, which include mission-critical FPGA designs using VHDL / Verilog for our satellites. As we are a small team, the ability to work independently on delivering FPGA solutions is required.
The position will be full-time, starting as soon as possible.
Job requirements:
1. ~5+ year’s of industry experience
2. Experience in SystemVerilog / Verilog / VHDL for digital designs, ideally using high end Xilinx FPGAs
3. Experience with the integration of IP cores for communication e.g. QSPI and SpaceWire, and signal processing.
4. Experience with Vivado IDEs and/or other Xilinx ISE toolchains desirable.
5. Ability to analyse system and / or hardware level requirements and derive detailed FPGA requirements
6. Experience of making technical decisions and mitigating technical risk for FPGA design activities.
7. Fault-finding, debugging, and good familiarity with test methodologies and simulation tools for FPGA development
8. Experience in high-speed processing of data, ideally for mission-critical applications
9. Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team
