MCL Medics has an exciting role for a full-time BACP/UKCP/NCS registered Level 4 counsellor to join our busy Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) triage team. This is a permanent position with flexible office and home working options available (to be discussed at interview).
As an EAP triage counsellor, you will assess and support clients when they email us, call us, or book through our EAP app to access their employee assistance program. You will be confident, calm, and compassionate, helping to identify and understand the presenting issue of the client and to signpost effectively to the correct services, which include legal, financial, and mental health support.
Comfortable on the telephone, you will have multiple appointments a day with our clients, clinically assess, take notes, and manage any ongoing referrals in liaison with the core EAP team. In addition to conducting triage sessions for our clients, part of your role is to respond to the service and support the wider team where necessary. As you grow in the role, you will also be involved in team-wide projects, including mental health content development, writing resources, and delivering webinars and group sessions.
Your role will include providing in-the-moment counselling to a diverse range of clients using a brief solution-focused model. You will provide therapeutic accountability sessions alongside computerised CBT to support clients in completing their online course. Your role is crucial in supporting the business to manage client cases with confidence, utilising data protection and excellent records management.
