Internal Sales Executive

Salary £30,000 - £33,000
Flexible Core hours of 9am - 4pm as long as you complete 7.5 hours each day.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturer based in Telford. Our client is looking for someone who is flexible and has a responsive approach; together with initiative to identify and focus on what needs to be done. The core responsibility of this role will be typically focused around handling enquiries, raising quotations, order processing and advising on lead times. However, we do want someone who has that drive to spot clients who need checking in with or following up on a lead to see if you can secure an extra order if you think there is a chance.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Handle incoming enquiries via phone, email, or web.
2. Raise quotations and discuss pricing and projects with clients.
3. Process orders that come in via email, portals, and the telephone.
4. Collaborate with the external sales team to coordinate customer proposals and follow-ups.
5. Identify and review new sales opportunities and follow up to understand details more thoroughly to appropriately allocate.
6. Account Management responsibility for identified customers; this will involve being the key point of contact for the account, attending customer visits, supporting with price negotiations, and handling any specific projects.
7. Continually develop technical product knowledge through training provided and engaging with other learning opportunities.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
9. Work towards meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
10. Monitor and track performance against set KPIs, such as quotation response times and other targets that will be set.
11. Assist in preparing sales presentations, quotations, and customer reports updating them on key delivery information.
12. Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding product information, pricing, and availability.
13. Provide ongoing account support, addressing customers' needs and resolving any issues.
14. Process, monitor, and manage customer forecasts and firm orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
15. Liaise with internal departments such as distribution, planning, engineering, and finance to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
16. Liaise with Shared Service Credit Control to support timely payments.
17. Maintain full compliance with company policies and procedures and conduct all activities in accordance with the company Code of Conduct.
18. Full adherence to H&S policies and practices.
Skills and Experience
1. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
3. Excellent organisational skills and able to meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
6. Resilient and can-do approach.
7. Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
8. Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing business requirements.
Further preferences but not essential:
1. Degree level education preferred or equivalent experience.
2. Fluency in a European language, ideally French or German, highly desirable.
3. Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in an internal sales environment.
