Job Title: Head of Safeguarding and Pastoral Care
Location: Willow Park School, Milton Keynes
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Safeguarding and Pastoral Care to join our close-knit team at Willow Park School located in Milton Keynes.
Job Purpose:
Support the Headteacher (HT) in overseeing safeguarding and pastoral support in line with the school vision
Support the HT in leading on the effective implementation of school policy of strategy
Support new pupils through transition into school, including supporting those on transitional timetables by working with the Assistant Headteacher for SEN and Inclusion and AHT for Behaviour and attitudes.
Support all staff in understanding the pastoral and behavioural needs of SEN pupils
Promote a culture and practice that enables all pupils and young people to access the curriculum
Support HT in monitoring pastoral intervention progress of pupils and young people
Work with the SLT, subject leads and teachers to ensure all pupils learning is of equal importance and that there are high and realistic expectations of pupils.
Duties - General:
Work in accordance with the school's statement of aims and values and implement strategies within policies
Liaise effectively with external agencies
To create MDT meetings where needed
To play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its vision and values and to encourage and ensure staff and students to follow this example
