Job Description
Our client produces a world-leading product range in existence. They are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer with an electronic and electrical bias, and the company offers excellent progression and career prospects.
Main Duties
1. To assist the department in providing maintenance support for all departments within the team.
2. To assist production when necessary to maintain production output.
3. Prompt attendance to machinery failures/breakdowns, which will include fault findings on electronics/electrical systems and repairs.
4. Complete and update tasks using maintenance-based software.
5. To provide assistance to service engineers/contractors.
6. To generate ideas for improvements.
7. Fault finding, repairing, and improving all aspects of control systems.
8. Proficient in PLC programming and introducing updates.
9. Replacing outdated control systems.
10. Assisting departments to ensure all standards are upheld and maintained.
11. CI activities for the business.
Candidate Attributes
1. Supporting a fast-paced FMCG environment.
2. Ideally will have 5-10 years of experience working within a production support position.
3. Sound knowledge of electronic control systems, instrumentation, PLC programs, and systems.
4. Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss problems and assist in rectifying them.
